ABOUT
Founded in Los Angeles, Dew Studio is a furniture and object practice focused on sustainability, quiet forms, and enduring materials. Each piece begins with a question of feeling — how something rests in the hand, how it anchors a room, how it ages. We work slowly, blending digital fabrication with hand-finished detail, and favoring woods, waxes, ceramics, and cast metals over synthetic materials. Dew is not trend-driven; it is rhythm-driven — evolving through seasonal collections and one-off pieces that reflect the pace of our lives and the spaces we inhabit.

Andy Ortiz Vivas
Andrea — known to most as Andy — is the quiet force behind Dew’s operations and creative rhythm. With a background in hospitality and a natural sense for systems, storytelling, and emotional clarity, she helps shape Dew’s voice and vision from the inside out. Andy manages the business with intention, ensuring that each decision — from sourcing to packaging — reflects the values of care, craft, and slowness that Dew was built on.

Craig Matola
Craig is a designer with roots in sculpture, industrial design, and digital craft. He studied at SCAD before working with artists and studios including Ben Medansky, David Wiseman, and Ravenhill Studio. His approach is hands-on and material-led, often shaped by early sketches, CNC templates, and a deeply textural design process. Craig founded Dew Studio with his partner Andrea Ortiz Vivas in 2024 to create work that is warm, architectural, and grounded in real use.
